In celebration of National Volunteer Month, the I Live Here I Give Here team spent the day giving back at Austin Creative Reuse to help give creative materials a second life. You can volunteer with them too! There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer with nonprofits in Central Texas throughout the year. Today might be the final of #NationalVolunteerMonth but that doesn’t mean your volunteer opportunities are over. That’s why we want to make sure you know about TWO impressive nonprofits that are passionate about putting people’s time towards good. Please meet Generation SERVE and The Junior League of Austin! Generation SERVE is a family volunteering and youth service learning non-profit that partners with over 100 charities in Central Texas. They host 60+ free volunteering activities every month for children ages 3-17. The Junior League of Austin (JLA) is an organization that helps advance women's leadership through meaningful community impact and volunteerism. They gift not only time but thousands of dollars to local nonprofit organizations.
