The First Texas Winery to make the Top 100 Vineyards List

We are ecstatic to announce that we have been named to the World's Best Vineyard list not just once, but TWO years in a row - 2022 and 2023! As the first Texas winery to earn a spot in the Top 100 Vineyards list, we are honored to have this recognition for our commitment to crafting exceptional wines and sharing our passion for Texas wine with the world. The annual list which highlights the world’s finest and most diverse vineyards across the globe included William Chris Vineyards as the 60th best vineyard in the world in 2023. 
 
The list includes more countries than ever before with 20 from all six continents being featured. 2022's list saw William Chris Vineyards become the first Texas winery to be featured in the top 100.  In 2023, WCV continues to be Texas' sole representation alongside six other American vineyards to be included on the list.

The World's Best Vineyard Academy

The World’s Best Vineyards is a celebration of outstanding vineyards and visitor experiences around the world to help promote wine tourism around the world. Each year the list showcases unique vineyards with unrivaled visitor experiences, from modern architectural wonders, UNESCO-protected ancient cellars, and Michelin-starred restaurants to family-run wineries with intimate tours. The Voting Academy consists of over 500 leading wine experts, sommeliers, and travel experts and they submit their nominations based on the different criteria that make the best destination vineyard, including quality of the overall experience, ambiance, cuisine, activities, views, staff, and value for money. The submissions are then voted on, and the results are collated and converted into the exclusive World’s Best Vineyards list and we are humbled by the recognition our Texas team has received.
